In the science curriculum, these include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participating in experiments<\/li>\n<li>Investigating, individually and collaboratively<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating data<\/li>\n<li>Researching<\/li>\n<li>Presenting Information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>S1<\/h5>\n<p>S1 students have four periods of science per week. This is an integrated course, covering topics in biology, chemistry and physics. Classes are mixed ability.<\/p>\n<h5>S2-3<\/h5>\n<p>In S2-3,\u00a0 discrete science and general science courses are available.<\/p>\n<p><em>Discrete sciences:<\/em> students can choose to study one, two or three science courses \u2013 biology, chemistry and\/or physics \u2013 each taught over two periods per week.<\/p>\n<p><em>General science:<\/em>\u00a0students can chose to study an integrated course, covering topics in biology, chemistry and physics.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>S4-6<\/h3>\n<p>In S4-6, students can choose from a range of courses, including:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nationals\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biology (N5)<\/li>\n<li>Chemistry (N5)<\/li>\n<li>Physics (N5)<\/li>\n<li>Science (N4)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biology<\/li>\n<li>Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Human Biology<\/li>\n<li>Physics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Advanced Highers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biology<\/li>\n<li>Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Physics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S1-3 Knowledge &amp; skills The S1-3 curriculum has been developed from national Experiences and Outcomes.\u00a0Details of the\u00a0specific content taught can be found below.
