Faculty Framework for Learning and Teaching

CARE

We work together to build and sustain an ethos of achievement that is fostered through support and challenge. We encourage our pupils to live up to our high expectations of them, live by our school values, and demonstrate our Peebles High School behaviours (be polite, be prepared and be productive), behaviours which they see their teachers model every day.

CONNECT

We know what we are learning and developing, and why. As a result ofย making connections with prior learning, future course content, and real world contexts, we can see where we are now and the route to where we need to be.

BUILD

We value knowledge, recognising it is the foundation on which our learning experiences are built. We build on our prior knowledge and strive to understand new ideas and concepts.

APPLY

We apply our knowledge and skills in a range of contexts.

REFLECT

We know where we are in our learning as a result of reflecting on learning experiences and we use our self-assessments and the feedback of others to improve.
