The class have completed magnetic whiteboard activities, have been reading and writing words containing the <strong>er<\/strong> sound and have had opportunities to revise sounds we have learned previously. \u00a0The children also enjoyed consolidating their learning through engaging with a range of activities as seen below:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/p12021\/files\/2019\/03\/erwords1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-460\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/kpselcc\/files\/2019\/03\/erwords1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The children had to draw around the crack<strong>er <\/strong>template, cut out the crack<strong>er<\/strong> shape and decorate it with colourful paper.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/public\/p12021\/uploads\/sites\/3708\/2019\/03\/06210706\/erwords2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-461\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/kpselcc\/files\/2019\/03\/erwords2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The children had a lot of fun creating, watching and performing stories in our fing<strong>er<\/strong> puppet theatre!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/public\/p12021\/uploads\/sites\/3708\/2019\/03\/06210707\/erwords4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-463\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/kpselcc\/files\/2019\/03\/erwords4-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of our most popular activities this week was drawing and labelling some traffic lights with the words red, amb<strong>er<\/strong> and green.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/p12021\/files\/2019\/03\/erwords3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-462\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/kpselcc\/files\/2019\/03\/erwords3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Many of the children enjoyed drawing some m<strong>er<\/strong>maids und<strong>er<\/strong> the sea!<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the words which you can make, say, write and draw:<\/p>\n<p>her, herb, kerb, herd, fern\u00a0advert, sherbet, person, mermaid, faster, under, over etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week we were learning about the er sound.
