One year we counted 54! This picture was taken in the middle of March.<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/p12021\/files\/2020\/04\/Frog.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1111\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/kpselcc\/files\/2020\/04\/Frog-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Shortly afterwards the pond begins to fill with frogspawn. It looks like big blobs of jelly!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/p12021\/files\/2020\/04\/Frogspawn-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1112\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/kpselcc\/files\/2020\/04\/Frogspawn-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each little blob is an egg. We\u2019ve been watching closely &#8211; and hoping the goldfish didn\u2019t eat them! \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/p12021\/files\/2020\/04\/Tadpoles-2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1113\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/kpselcc\/files\/2020\/04\/Tadpoles-2-300x233.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A tadpole pushes its way out of each egg. These tadpoles are about four weeks old now. The next stage will be for them to grow legs. I&#8217;ll keep watching and share pictures with you when they do.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, I\u2019m sure you&#8217;ve all seen the wonderful stories in the Kingsland Story Corner.
