Every month the Scottish Book trust runs a ‘Fifty Word Fiction’ competition.\u00a0 At the end of August P5A had a go and entered some of our compositions.\u00a0 Unfortunately we didn’t have any winners this time but all the entrants received an email thanking them for their words.\u00a0 If you would like to have a go at this month’s competition please click on the link below:<\/p>\n
50 word fiction<\/a><\/p>\n Here are some of the entries we submitted:<\/p>\n The Baking Mystery<\/strong> by Sam Fitzgerald<\/p>\n I was baking a cake and I went to the shops to get some ingredients.\u00a0 When I came back everything was gone.\u00a0 It was confusing.\u00a0 Then the door of the cupboard creaked open and I walked around the table to see what was there and then\u2026everything went black.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The big disaster<\/strong> by Adam Taylor<\/p>\n As I entered the bakery I smelt the cupcakes and bread mixed to make the sweetest smell.\u00a0 The factory was enormous -trays and trays of freshly baked goods.\u00a0 The factory began to rumble, the icing fell onto the floor flooding the factory.\u00a0 I ran out.\u00a0 The factory exploded.\u00a0 Kaboom!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The cream disaster<\/strong> by Ben Margiotta<\/p>\n \u201cAHHHHH!!\u201d<\/p>\n There was cream all over the town.\u00a0 It was like a flood but of course cream.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat are we going to do??!!\u201d<\/p>\n The cream got bigger and faster!!!\u00a0 The police came bursting through.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re saved!\u201d everybody screamed repeatedly.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cupcake World<\/strong> by Aimee Watson<\/p>\n When I woke up I saw a giant cupcake in my room.\u00a0 I walked up to it and I got teleported to cupcake world.\u00a0 I ate twenty one cupcakes and then I felt sick.\u00a0 My sick somehow turned into rainbows.\u00a0 I liked that.\u00a0 Then I ate more cupcakes.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cupcake Island<\/strong> by Flo Kirkpatrick<\/p>\n One day I was on my sponge boat.\u00a0 It was rocking a bit more than usual.\u00a0 The sea was made out of creamy blue icing.\u00a0 The waves got bigger and suddenly the sponge tipped.\u00a0 I fell on a sponge island.\u00a0 I stood up.\u00a0 What should I do next?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Every month the Scottish Book trust runs a ‘Fifty Word Fiction’ competition.\u00a0 At the end of August P5A had a go and entered some of our compositions.\u00a0 Unfortunately we didn’t have any winners this time but all the entrants received an email thanking them for their words.\u00a0 If you would like to have a go … Continue reading 50 Word Fiction<\/span>
