It can be planted in the main garden or even in a pot or bag.<\/p>\n<p>1) Plant the potato about 5 inches under the soil and cover.<\/p>\n<p>2) Water your potato regularly.<\/p>\n<p>3) When the first leaves appear cover them with more soil. (This encourages more potatoes to grow.)<\/p>\n<p>4) When you notice leaves appearing again cover them again with more soil. This will create a mound. Do this two or three times.<\/p>\n<p>5) Continue to water during dry spells.<\/p>\n<p>6) When the leaves start to die back the potatoes are ready to dig up.
