We\u2019ve been enjoying the videos and powerpoints from the JRSOs introducing a different superhero each day &#8211; we\u2019ve had Super Strong, Super Smart, Super Smiley, Super Safe and Super Sustainable. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Wednesday we worked together at our tables to draw a map of Peebles and discussed our different routes to school. We talked about safe places to cross and all of the lovely things we see on our walks to school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At the end of the week we had great fun tinkering with the beebots. On Thursday we learned how to program them to go through or around obstacles and this morning we put them on our map and instructed them to go for a drive around Peebles!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This week we\u2019ve also been planting, learning the \u2018ue\u2019 sound and writing about the rabbit in the school playground. In numeracy we\u2019re continuing our work on subtraction and linking addition and subtraction facts. The children\u2019s highlights include: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Writing about the rabbit in the garden<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Playing with the beebots<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Planting pumpkins in the garden<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Making stat<strong>ue<\/strong>s (for \u2018ue\u2019)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pressing the buttons on the beebots<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Drawing the stat<strong>ue<\/strong>s<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sharing and taking turns with the beebots<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve had lots of fun this week learning about the benefits of walking for Walk to School week.
