This bee is a solitary\u00a0<span class=\"markomlj7kah7\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">bee<\/span>\u00a0found in grassland and open woodland between March and May. It is fairly common and feeds on a wide variety of plants including coltsfoot, dandelion and daffodil pollen which we have on the campus.
