We are delighted to share that our school was invited to participate in the\u00a0School Leavers Economic Inactivity Roundtable Discussion<\/strong>\u00a0on the 29th May, at the\u00a0Scottish Parliament<\/strong>. This national event brings together key stakeholders to discuss the challenges faced by young people leaving school and to share examples of effective practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To be selected for this discussion is a real privilege and a powerful recognition of the work we are doing as a school. Our strong performance in securing positive destinations is not just about the final outcomes for school leavers\u2014it reflects the strength of our curriculum, our support for young people, and the ethos of achievement and attainment we have collectively built over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills<\/strong> has expressed a particular interest in how schools are working with partners to support young people into positive destinations. She is also aware of the slight dip in national performance over the past couple of years, particularly among S4 leavers and S5 pupils who leave before completing the year. That context makes our inclusion in this roundtable even more significant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our school has led the way with innovative approaches and strong, sustained partnerships\u2014with our community, local businesses, the local authority, Skills Development Scotland, and Community Learning and Development.
