How were the craters on the moon formed?
That was today’s BIG question.
After discovering that craters were formed by various objects colliding with the moon, we worked in 3s to investigate using trays of flour and cocoa and stones.
We decided on our hypothesis, aim, constants and variables to investigate how craters are affected by the objects that create them.
We either changed the size of the rock we used or the height that we dropped the rocks from and measured the depth and diameter of the craters formed. We collated our results in a table as we went in order to record our findings.
Once we had investigated, we wrote our findings up to keep track of our learning.
Can you answer our BIG question?
