British Science Week 2020

During British Science Week, we spent the time exploring Chemical Reactions.

We thought about what a chemical reaction was and how we knew when one had taken place. We then used various chemicals to create demonstrations of various chemical reactions including:

  • elephant toothpaste
  • lemon volcanoes
  • yeast balloons
  • slime

We worked hard to make predictions, ask questions, critically analyse and interpret result.

We had a great time exploring lots of chemical reactions!

Why not ask us about these at home?

Book Week Bonanza!

Last week all at Edenside celebrated World Book day but with a WHOLE BOOK WEEK!

Each day we took part in a variety of activities including whole school reads, each class’s top 5 books, a book week quiz, author master class and a book parcel delivery. We also took part in a draw along to draw Greg Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

All of our celebrations came to a magical end on Friday when we each came dressed as a character from a book.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Book Week Celebrations and loved the buzz created about reading and literature.
