Long Multiplication using CPAL

For number, we are working to use the Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract, Language method to develop our multiplication skills.

We started by using the Cuisenaire rods to create a 2 digit by 1 digit multiplication sum. We worked to multiply the tens and units and then put the some together using our whiteboards.

Then we created a pictorial representation of the sums in our jotters.

We will be using this method to understand 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication in the coming weeks.
