Edenside’s Epic Science Week 2016!

What do you inherit?

Inheritance is when parents pass traits onto you, such as your eye colour.  Has anyone ever said you look like your Mum, Dad or even your Granny? We did a few different activities which we enjoyed. One of the activities was making a trait tree- we got 2 coloured pieces of paper and drew round our hands on each of the fingers we wrote traits we inherited from our parents. We also had a go at breeding Mr Men.

Mod-roc Madness

This term we have been learning about the Amazon rainforest. Miss Rhead asked us to  make an animal, plant or insect model. First we used wire then covered it in paper and masking tape and finally Mod-roc. We enjoyed making the models especially getting messy!

Ukulele Fun!

We have been doing ukulele. We have been learning songs such as Auld Lang syne , wimoweh and a Portuguese song called Zum zum zum.  What I enjoyed most was when everyone joined in together and played in unison. We are really looking forward to our parents coming in to watch us on the 19th of November. By Phoebe & Joshua
