These are important parts of the day that should be relaxed, enjoyable and sociable occasions for all children and practitioners.\u00a0 A perfect opportunity to foster positive relationships and for rich learning to occur.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cChildren’s food choices are nutritious, culturally appropriate and safely prepared to account for any specific dietary needs, allergies or intolerances. They are aligned with current dietary guidelines including Setting the table and Food matters. Fresh water is readily available throughout the day. We consider daily routines, such as mealtimes, as valuable opportunities to promote children’s involvement, independence and enhance their experiences.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe ensure consistency in who provides a child\u2019s care and support and how it is provided. Consistency in routines such as mealtimes, nap times and personal care provide our children with a sense of safety and security.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
