The Scottish Borders Council Learning, Teaching and Assessment Framework suggests that: Learner’s needs and interests are central to the planning process, the learning environments are planned and are purposeful tools for learning, all educators support, extend and deepen learning through sensitive interactions, and that all educators have a good understanding of early level pedagogy, child development and curricular areas.
