Before use of the Learning Powers:
- Discuss with the children how they think they learn
- Use the Learning Powers and after a few weeks when the learning powers are embedded, ask the same question and then reflect on the children`s answers.
Reflect on records of children`s voice in your setting (these may be found in the Floorbook, Learning journals Wall displays…)
- Are the children using the language of learning?
- Are they using the names of the learning powers?
- Do staff observe children demonstrating the learning powers without adult interactions? i.e concentration, perseverance, coping with failure, trying again on a task…
