The capacity to generate ideas; things that have value to the individual.<\/h5>\n<h5>2. Looking at things with a fresh eye; examining problems with an open mind; making connections; learning from mistakes and using the imagination to explore new possibilities.<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the 2013 <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.creativescotland.com\/__data\/assets\/pdf_file\/0019\/21394\/Scotlands-Creative-Learning-Plan-2013-v-d4.pdf\">Creative Learning Plan<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>the Scottish Governmet stated that<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 6\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>&#8216;A more creative Scotland can only be realised through creative responses to all challenges, across society, at every level. Achieving this will take the e orts of everyone who is passionate about learning, from policy-makers and teachers to professional creative people.&#8217; To help facilitate this education authorities across scotland were funded to develop Creative Learning Networks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Four Creativity Skills were focused on<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Imagination<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Curiosity<\/li>\n<li>Open Mindedness<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Creativity skills include<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Being curious<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Registering patterns and anomalies<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Drawing on previous knowledge<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Researching productively<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Formulating good questions<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Defining problems<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Exploring multiple viewpoints<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Functioning with uncertainty<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Lateral thinking<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Hypothesising<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Synthesising and refining multiple options and viewpoints<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Inventing<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Crafting, delivering and presenting solutions<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Applying discipline and resilience<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Evaluating impact and success of solutions<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Identifying next steps in refinement or development process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/public\/creativity\/uploads\/sites\/3671\/2019\/07\/11161928\/cre24-what-are-creativity-skills.pdf\">cre24-what-are-creativity-skills<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is creativity?[cre-a-tiv-i-ty] noun 1.
