{"id":189,"date":"2017-02-16T17:47:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-16T17:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/aggregate\/2017\/02\/16\/our-new-topic-our-bodies\/"},"modified":"2017-03-24T11:03:51","modified_gmt":"2017-03-24T11:03:51","slug":"our-new-topic-our-bodies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sb\/aggregate\/2017\/02\/16\/our-new-topic-our-bodies\/","title":{"rendered":"Our new topic- Our bodies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We worked in groups to think about our next topic and thought about the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I can find out about some body systems and the problems that may develop and I can make informed decisions to keep myself healthy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We decided our key learning should be:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is a body system?<\/li>\n<li>What problems can they have?<\/li>\n<li>What is an informed decision?<\/li>\n<li>What can we do to keep ourselves healthy?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What do we already know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A body system is a system in your body<\/li>\n<li>It might be skeletons.<\/li>\n<li>We need to eat healthily.<\/li>\n<li>We need to exercise.<\/li>\n<li>Most of us did not know what a body system was.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>I can find out about how is a sensory organ is made up and what it does and how the organ responds to outside conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We decided our key learning should be:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is a sensory organ?<\/li>\n<li>How is a sensory organ made up?<\/li>\n<li>What does a sensory organ do?<\/li>\n<li>How does a sensory organ react to outside conditions?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What do we already know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A sensory organ controls your senses.<\/li>\n<li>Sensory organs are your fingers, eyes, ears, mouth, nose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We want to find out about?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The brain<\/li>\n<li>The heart<\/li>\n<li>Digestion and excretion( a popular one!!!)<\/li>\n<li>Our eyes and why do people have different colours?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How we want to do this?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experiments<\/li>\n<li>Videos<\/li>\n<li>Taste tests<\/li>\n<li>Models<\/li>\n<li>Dramas<\/li>\n<li>Powerpoints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We worked in groups to think about our next topic and thought about the following: I can find out about some body systems and the problems that may develop and I can make informed decisions to keep myself healthy.
