We were working with P6 to think about the different ways that we learn. We had to work in mixed groups to sort out cards. The cards had different activities on them and we discussed if we liked the activity or not. We found out that our brains work differently and that we learn in different ways – we can be auditory, visual or kinaesethetic learners.
In maths today we played a game of ‘Guess my Number’. We had a large number (up to hundreds of billions) stuck on our back and we had to guess the number by asking other people questions that they could answer only yes or no to. E.g. is the hundreds of millions digit more or less than five? Is the tens of thousands number odd or even etc. We had a lot of fun and in the end everyone managed to work out their complete number.
We watched a short film called ‘Otherwise’ by Anders Artig. It was a film which had a deeper meaning about prejudice. Through watching the film we learned about 6 codes that will help us analyse films – Colour, Camera, Character, Sound, Story, Setting.
P6/7 had a go at making a ‘Wordle’. We had to think up different words connected to P6/7. We could then make a wordle.
