Over the last three weeks Matt The Hat has come in and taken us on the big drum adventure!
With drums from around the world.
This week he introduced a new drum called rebeneke.
It’s a bit like a snaire drum but it doesn’t have the balls on the bottom.
We also used a Bass Drum and djembe.
We have to perform at the Volunteer Hall in a few weeks time in front of loads of people.
I liked playing the repiniqe and allthe different beats and this week we learnt about all the different sorts of waves
I ejoyed doing drumming and i learnt some new insrument names like repenik and agogo.
Drumming is fun and I think we have done good in progress and I cant wait to go to the volunteer hall. I have learned lots of new drums and music.
Drumming has taught me to always sit up when playing a drum and to not hit a bass drum too hard. It has been easy at times and hard at times.
I really enjoyed this. Gave me a better sense of rythm

I really loved drumming€1 It made me feel happy to drum with Matt because he is a really good drumming teacher. The big drumming adventure! I hope everyone else enjoyed it like I did!!!!!!!!! 🙂
i really enjoyed drumming with mat the hat. one of my favorite drums is the gjembay and i am quite good at that. i learned the different ways to hold the drums and how to play them.
I liked drumming. My favourite instrument was the agogo.
