We are trying to put our learning about creating 3-D shape into practice by making 3-D star shapes for the Christmas Bazaar. We are going to fill them with nice things!!

Election Planning
We have been preparing posters to advertise our election pledges. We had to make sure that our Political Party got its message across!

The Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils are organising their own election campaign! We were put into groups, which were our political parties. We had to come up with 5 policies that would make people to vote for us. They had to be focussed on young people.
We also chose our jobs they were I.T. manager, resourse manager, candidate, photographer and PR secratery.
Over the next few weeks we will be campaigning – with everyone voting for their favourite candidate and party on the 7th December.
Uni-hoc
We have been learning uni-hoc skills on a Friday afternoon. We play 3 minute games with 4 in a team. It is pretty quick – and tiring!
Drama
We were doing drama with Mrs Inglis. We were learning about improvisation. We had to take an object and make it into a prop. Some people chose a bench and made it into a canoe or a trampoline. We had to make the prop into 10 different things, 5 silent and 5 speaking. Some people made a bouncy hopper into a wheelchair or a car.

In ICT we went on to glow and learnt how to use html codes to make sparkly text,bouncing text and cool backgrounds, it was really fun. everyone typed in what they wanted and pasted on their glow page.
History of Hallowe’en
On Wednesday we were learning what makes hallowe’en today.The celts started doing something called Samhain. Their traditions were to have a big bonfire to ward of the evil spirits and welcomed the good spirits they used to do docking for apples just like today.
Hallowe’en is over 2000 years old. In the U.K. the celts started it all in 600bc to 50 ad. In 43 ad the Romans invaded and two Roman festivals came to be celebrated at the same time as the celts. The first festival was called Feralia a day when Romans commemorated the passing of the dead.
We had to read a very long passage and highlight the important information. We were only meant to highlight key words. We then had to make a poster using the information.
