Here at Straiton we strive to create a purposeful and caring atmosphere in which our pupils want to learn and want to succeed. Pupils are encouraged to take a pride in themselves and in their surrounding environment.\u00a0Our energies and expertise are focused towards developing our pupils academically and socially and preparing them as fully as possible for the next stage in their education. We aim to help our pupils become successful learners, confident individuals, effective communicators and responsible citizens.<\/p>\n
We are a small rural school located in South Ayrshire. We have 2 classes, the ‘wee class’ which has Nursery – Primary 1, 2 and 3 and the ‘big class’ which has children from Primary 4,5,6 and 7.<\/p>\n
