Primary 3/4 is a fantastic class of 13 enthusiastic learners who love exploring new ideas and discovering something exciting every day. We are a hardworking, caring group who enjoy helping one another and celebrating our achievements together.
Our teachers are Miss Murray and Mrs. Harper Titchener, and on Thursdays we are joined by Mrs. Gibson, our wonderful Music Specialist.
In Literacy, we are diving into engaging stories through the Talk4Writing programme. We enjoy reading our decodable books each day, both in school and at home, to become confident and fluent readers. Each week, we also learn new phonics sounds to support our reading and writing skills.
In Numeracy and Maths, we are focusing on Place Value, Addition and Subtraction, and Shape this term. We use a range of fun games and hands-on resources to build our understanding and make learning enjoyable. At home, pupils can keep practising using Sumdog, Topmarks, and learners can login by scanning the QR codes in their home learning folders.
Our topic this term is The Rainforest, and we are having great fun exploring its amazing plants, animals, and habitats through creative and practical activities.
As a school, we have a close relationship with the parishioners of Our Lady and St Cuthbert’s Church. The children attend mass each month, and families are warmly invited to join our monthly family mass, followed by a friendly breakfast gathering in the church hall.
