Snack
Healthy eating is promoted at snack time. Milk and water are available each day along with a variety of snacks including a fruit/veg item and a savoury choice such as crackers or breadsticks. It is vital that parents inform Early Years Centre staff if any children have food allergies, dietary requirements or of any foods which they do not wish their children to try.
Children practise washing their hands, preparing and tidying up after their snack to encourage them to become more independent.
Lunches
We provide a three-week menu cycle in all early years centres based on Setting the Table guidelines. Nursery lunch is a two-course lunch and will consist of a main course with either a starter or dessert which will be agreed at a local level to reflect what is popular in that setting.
Specific dietary requirements can be accommodated, for further information please see our special diets and allergen information page.
All main meal choices below have been fully assessed for food allergens, for more information please visit the primary school portal where you will find full descriptions of meal choices as well as food allergens.
