At Space Place Early Years Centre we believe parents are their child’s first educators. We endeavour to involve you as much as possible in your child’s learning experiences and offer a variety of opportunities for you to come and enjoy learning and play with your child. Click on the posters below for more details of what’s on this session.
We also have a lending library in our foyer that you and your child(ren) are welcome to use at any time. Simply sign out the books using the folder provided and let a member of staff know when you have returned them.
We are always delighted to welcome parents/wider family members into the centre to support children’s learning experiences. If you have any skills or ideas to support a current context or learning in general please speak to a member of staff. Previously we have had parents visiting to talk about their careers, parents utilising their skills to make resources for our centre and a parent leading simple Spanish sessions for the children. We are always welcome to new ideas so please don’t hesitate to ask, staff will be happy to support you and accommodate where possible.
We are always looking for further opportunities for you to become involved in your child’s learning and time in the centre if you have any suggestions please speak to a member of staff.
In addition to offering experiences for our current children we offer our ‘Family Room’ space to others in the local community to run appropriate groups to benefit parents and children from. We currently host ‘Baby Massage’ sessions run by NHS Nurse Practitioner Catriona Dyer for more info please contact:
If you would be interested in utilising this space to offer a family session/group please speak to a member of management.
