WHAT IS SEESAW?
Seesaw is an online platform that schools and nurseries can use that provides instructional tools, curriculum aligned lessons, pupil portfolios and communication tools.
- Teachers are provided with instructional tools and content to make teaching and learning more accessible and engaging for pupils whilst meeting their diverse needs.
- Pupils have access to multimodal tools that give them opportunities to foster their creativity and give them active, hands-on lessons.
- Parents and carers can partners in the learning journey with the use of the inclusive communication tools.
Seesaw is easy to use and can be accessed from anywhere using the Seesaw app. Only you and relevant school staff can access your child’s journal and you cannot access any other child’s journal. You can view your child’s work, message your child’s teacher (inline with your school’s communication policy), engage with your child’s work (add comments) and deepen conversations at home.
You child will be added to the Seesaw platform by their school and assigned a unique QR code that is shared with you. You download the Seesaw app, provide your name and email address, scan the QR code and connect with your child’s account. This parent/child link is confirmed by the school and then you’ll be able to see your child’s journal.
