South Ayrshire Council are currently participating in the RAiSE Programme (Raising Aspirations in Science Education).<\/p>\n
RAiSE is delivered through a partnership of The Wood Foundation<\/a>, Education Scotland<\/a>, Scottish Government<\/a> and other participating local authorities<\/a> in Scotland to create motivating and inspiring STEM opportunities for young people.<\/p>\n The intention is to increase their understanding of the world we live in and encourage them to use STEM skills and knowledge to become creative, resourceful and enterprising adults.<\/p>\n The RAiSE Primary Science Development Officers developed some IDL context planners which can be accessed here<\/a>.<\/p>\n South Ayrshire Council has a Primary Science Development Officer in post as part of the programme.
