{"id":237,"date":"2020-08-11T14:19:53","date_gmt":"2020-08-11T14:19:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sa\/sacstem\/?page_id=237"},"modified":"2020-08-18T09:06:35","modified_gmt":"2020-08-18T09:06:35","slug":"national","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/sa\/sacstem\/national\/","title":{"rendered":"National"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In October 2017, Education Scotland published the STEM Education and Training Strategy after a period of consultation.<\/p>\n<p>The aims of the strategy were;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to build Scotland&#8217;s capacity to deliver excellent STEM learning<\/li>\n<li>to close equity gaps in participation and attainment in STEM<\/li>\n<li>to inspire young people and adults to study STEM<\/li>\n<li>to provide better connections between STEM education and training, and the needs of the Scottish labour market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From this, a set of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/stem-strategy-key-performance-indicators\/\">key performance indicators<\/a> were created, and based on them, annual progress reports have been created.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/stem-strategy-education-training-scotland-first-annual-report\/\">February 2019 Annual Report<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/stem-strategy-education-training-scotland-second-annual-report\/\">March 2020 Annual Report\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In October 2017, Education Scotland published the STEM Education and Training Strategy after a period of consultation.
