<\/a><\/div>\nP3\/4 have had a fantastic half term full of creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning. In literacy, we explored \u201cThe Papaya That Spoke\u201d through our Talk for Writing, bringing the story to life through drama, text exploration, and creating our own writer\u2019s toolkits. In phonics, we have revised our initial sounds and have begun to follow the South Ayrshire Reads progression.<\/p>\n
In Numeracy we focused on place value using practical strategies such as base ten materials, part-whole models, and number lines.<\/p>\n
In Health and Wellbeing, we created our Zones of Regulation to help recognise and manage emotions and learned what it means to be kind \u201cbucket fillers.\u201d In PE, we have been learning about gymnastics, with a particular favourite being partner balances. A highlight has been our classroom jobs project, where pupils earn wages for their roles, pay rent for their chair and table, and budget to visit the class shop \u2013 developing teamwork and financial awareness. In Art, we created autumn-inspired pieces and designed Kenyan cloths to celebrate Fr Benjamin\u2019s 50th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday.<\/p>\n Our IDL topic on Dinosaurs has captured everyone\u2019s imagination. We learned about different species and became palaeontologists for the day, investigating coprolite (fossilised dinosaur poo!) to discover dinosaur diets.
