It supports the development of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health and Wellbeing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I can cope with new situations<\/li>\n<li>I can share and cooperate with others<\/li>\n<li>I can engage in physical activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communication and Language<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I can listen and recognise words that rhyme<\/li>\n<li>I can identify and tap out syllables in words<\/li>\n<li>I can recognise and name some letters<\/li>\n<li>I can listen. understand and respond<\/li>\n<li>I can retell a story \/ song that I have heard<\/li>\n<li>I can talk about what I am learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mathematics and Numeracy<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I can talk about more or less to compare quantities \u2013 e.g. of musical instruments playing<\/li>\n<li>I can count items accurately and consistently \u2013 e.g. in songs and rhymes<\/li>\n<li>Number track \u2013 e.g. in songs and rhymes<\/li>\n<li>I can recognise and copy a simple pattern<\/li>\n<li>I can use positional language \u2013 e.g. in front, behind, under, beside<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>EARLY LEVEL<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Music-making activities for children from preschool and Primary 1 will include<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenting and Performing:<\/strong><br \/>\nsongs and rhymes<br \/>\nmoving to the music &#8211; march, clap, tap<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exploring and Creating:<\/strong><br \/>\nexploring sound &#8211; playing a range of instruments<br \/>\ncreating sound &#8211; loud\/quite; fast\/slow<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluating and Appreciating:<\/strong><br \/>\nlistening to pieces of music from different styles and played by different instruments or groups of instruments<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Learning Resources<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>We have developed a skills progression framework and resources to support learning.
