The Rainbow Room is a lovely, cosy room where children learn through play. We enjoy daily sensory play and love visiting the sensory room. We have space for messy play, role play and a quiet area to rest and sleep. We learn though a range of schemas and lots of inquiry and curiosity. We spend time outdoors each day and enjoy visits to the local park.<\/span><\/p>\n

November Update\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We had fun dressing up at our Halloween party, dancing and playing games with our friends.<\/p>\n

We invited parents, grandparents and carers in for a stay and play session.<\/p>\n

Some of us went to some special bookbug sessions at the library. We read a new book and sang some songs.<\/p>\n

We also had some special visitors in. Anne and Moira from Guide Dogs brought Rocket and Lucca in to teach us about how a guide dog is trained. Our buddy class joined us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Star room.<\/u><\/p>\n

We have been learning about our community and school. We have explored the roles of people within our school and how they help keep us safe and healthy. We have really enjoyed our weekly Tuesday Treks where we have visited some local places of interest including, the park, shop and the town.\u00a0 The pre-school children have engaged well in their swimming lessons each week, learning important safety life skills while have lots of fun. Pre-school children have also engaged really well during the transition visits to Primary 1 each Wednesday. These visits have given our children the opportunity to explore a range of play and learning environments used by the Primary 1 class.<\/p>\n

Our fantastic trip to the Farm Park was thoroughly enjoyed by all 3-5 children. This was a really special day with lots and lots of fun and leaning!<\/p>\n

Rainbow Room<\/u><\/p>\n

We have taken advantage of the good weather and spent most of our time outdoor in the Rainbow Room garden. \u00a0Outdoors we have watched the weather and nature change from spring into early summer. We have explored lots of physical play, messy sensory play, schematic play and of course our favourite water play.
