January Update 

Over the past three weeks, Primary 6 have been exploring our new topic Energy Sources and Sustainability. The pupils have shown great enthusiasm, curiosity and teamwork throughout their learning. What energy is and how it is used in everyday life, the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy sources, examples including fossil fuels, wind, solar and hydroelectric power and why sustainable energy choices are important for our environment. Pupils have taken part in hands-on investigations, group discussions and data-handling activities. They have been developing skills in teamwork, problem-solving, note-taking and using scientific vocabulary confidently. We have encouraged pupils to think about how small changes, such as saving electricity and reducing waste, can help protect our planet. We are very proud of the thoughtful questions pupils are asking and the positive attitudes they are showing towards learning.
