\"\"<\/a>Next week is the national Walk to School Week.\u00a0 We would like to encourage as many pupils as possible to walk to school next week. We are hopeful that this will be a BIG<\/strong> celebration and a whole lot of FUN<\/strong>!\u00a0 To make the week special, we would love for our pupils to dress up each day.\u00a0 The themes are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Day<\/strong><\/td>\nWalk to school wearing…<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Monday <\/strong><\/td>\nsilly socks or odd shoes!<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Tuesday <\/strong><\/td>\ncrazy hair!<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Wednesday<\/strong><\/td>\na hat and\/or sunglasses!<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Thursday<\/strong><\/td>\nbright colours!<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Friday<\/strong><\/td>\nsomething purple for Ayrshire Hospice.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Walking to school helps children feel happier and healthier and they arrive refreshed, fit and ready to learn. More families walking means fewer cars on the road during the school run, helping to reduce congestion and pollution at the school gates.\u00a0 If you live too far away or don\u2019t have time to walk the whole way to school, you can \u2018Park and Stride<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n

If you would like to make a small monetary donation towards the Ayrshire Hospice on Friday, this would be gratefully received, although there is no obligation to do so.<\/p>\n
