We swapped over activities this afternoon as the mist rolled in. This didn’t stop us from getting wet! There is now a large pile of unclaimed wet clothes outside the bunkhouse including several odd socks.
We are really looking forward to the disco this evening.
This morning we were split into two groups. The first group went to Maidens’ Harbour for rafting and the second group experienced archery and explored the rock pools. Not only did the first group have fun splashing around in the water but they also were lucky enough to see a 20ft basking shark feeding just outside the harbour. He was affectionately named “Nosey”.
The P7 pupils wish to invite their parents/family to an assembly next Thursday the 8th October at 9.15am. We hope you can come along. A letter will be sent home with the pupils on Thursday.
When we were walking in our 3 teams we bumped into another group so we teamed up. We all wanted to find the other group. We finally saw them up the hill we ran towards them but somehow they disappeared! This happened twice. They were a long way ahead of us but we actually beat them to the bus! It was lots of fun but VERY tiring!
Today, after a big breakfast, we walked up Cornish Hill. We passed through forests, waded through bogs, crossed streams and climbed up and down hills. We thoroughly earned our chicken curry! Tonight we will be making volcanoes on the beach.
We arrived safely and made our own beds. After that we equipped ourselves with waterproofs and boots and had a go on the climbing wall. We also found out about tectonic plates during team building tasks. We walked down through Culzean collecting wood to build a fire. After dinner we lit a fire on the beach and had hot chocolate and marshmallows watching an amazing sunset. We were all asleep by 10.30ish (honest!)
