Our School

Heathfield Primary School is a large school at the centre of a well-established community and is well supported by parents, the Parent Council, all staff and members of the wider community.

Heathfield Primary is a non-denominational school serving the Heathfield area of Ayr; we have an average of 550 pupils each year.  There is also an Early Years Centre running with 40 children who attend full days.

On an annual basis placing requests run at approximately 30% of our school population.

All members of staff recognise that, in everything we do, the best interests of the child must be our top priority.  In 2013, Heathfield Primary achieved Rights Respecting Schools Level 1 accreditation.  This underpins all that we do in school and continues to be built upon.  There is commitment to ensuring that all pupils, parents, staff and partners feel that they are valued and treated with respect.  We consider each and every pupil as an individual with his or her own needs and rights.  The importance of supporting pupils to do their best and to achieve success is paramount.

We hope that you enjoy browsing our website and trust that you will find the information both informative and helpful as it gives an insight into the life and ethos of this very busy school.
