Talk for Writing – Wishing Tales \u2728<\/h1>\n

This term, Primary 7 have been focussing on Wishing Tales as part of Talk for Writing.<\/p>\n

COLD TASK:<\/span><\/p>\n

We have completed our own baseline assessment \u2018cold task\u2019 of writing a Wishing Tale with no input. We will then do our Hot Task assessment at the end of the unit and measure our progress.<\/span><\/p>\n

IMITATION PHASE:<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the imitation phase we have been learning our model text \u2018Hettie\u2019s Unicorn\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ask your child\u00a0why\u00a0<\/em>we learn a model text.<\/p>\n

To help internalise the model text, we have been creating and performing actions, developing story maps using symbols and emojis and then re-writing the text from memory!<\/p>\n
