The Big Pedal 2019<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Just a reminder that on Monday 25th<\/sup> The Big Pedal<\/strong> week will begin!<\/h1>\n

Sustrans Big Pedal is the UK\u2019s largest inter-school cycling, walking and scooting challenge inspiring pupils, staff and parents to choose human power for their journey to school.<\/p>\n

For the first time, walking will be counted alongside cycling and scooting.<\/p>\n

Sustrans Big Pedal will run for 10 days from 25 March to 5 April 2019 and is open to all primary and secondary schools in the UK, including SEN schools.<\/p>\n

What is the challenge?<\/h3>\n

On each day, schools compete to see who can get as many of their pupils, staff and parents cycling, walking or scooting to school. Your school\u2019s best five days will determine your final position, but you can log journeys on all ten days if you wish.<\/p>\n

For schools unable to take part in the main event we have a one-day challenge, which can include cycling, walking and scooting activities in the school day as well as on the journey to school.<\/p>\n
