We are supported throughout the week by Mrs Vance and Mrs Morrison.<\/p>\n<h2>Our Weekly Routine<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>P.E. takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/li>\n<li>Committees take place every second Thursday afternoon.<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor Learning takes place every second Friday.<\/li>\n<li>Every Tuesday, Caitlin from Active Schools visits to help us develop our coaching and leadership skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<h2>Learning About Our Rights<\/h2>\n<p>This term, we have been exploring the Rights of the Child and the important articles that protect and support young people. As a class, we selected Articles 12, 19, 28, 29 and 31 as the rights that matter most to us.<\/p>\n<p>We agreed that in our classroom it is important to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep our hands, feet and unkind words to ourselves.<\/li>\n<li>Be fair and respectful to one another.<\/li>\n<li>Listen carefully and value everyone&#8217;s voice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These rights have helped us create our class charter and establish a positive, respectful learning environment where everyone feels safe, included and valued.<\/p>\n<h2>House Captains<\/h2>\n<p>Everyone in our class is currently writing speeches for the House Captain election. We have been discussing the qualities that make an effective House Captain, including being a positive role model, showing responsibility and encouraging others in a supportive way.<\/p>\n<p>We are working hard to write persuasive speeches that highlight our strengths, achievements and ideas for representing our houses. We are just beginning this unit and are excited to explore the text in more detail.<\/p>\n<p>Over the coming weeks, we will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn and retell the story using actions and story maps.<\/li>\n<li>Explore the key features of a warning story.<\/li>\n<li>Collect powerful vocabulary and descriptive language.<\/li>\n<li>Investigate how authors build suspense and create
