Welcome back to our P7\/6 blog! Term 3 has been packed with exciting learning, new experiences, and lots of opportunities to challenge ourselves.<\/p>\n
Our Weekly Routine<\/strong><\/p>\n This term, our focus in literacy is adventure writing<\/strong>. We\u2019ve been learning how to:<\/p>\n Our writing focus includes adjectives, similes, metaphors, expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials, and varied sentence openers<\/strong> to help our adventures feel dramatic and engaging.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve been busy developing our numeracy skills this term.<\/p>\n We have learned how to:<\/p>\n We are now moving on to:<\/p>\n We continue to use problem\u2011solving strategies, including bar models, to help us think logically and explain our reasoning.<\/p>\n Our science topic this term is Plants<\/strong>. We\u2019ve been exploring:<\/p>\n This term, we\u2019ve had a big focus on Robert Burns<\/strong>. We learned about:<\/p>\n A highlight of the term was our Burns Supper<\/strong>, where we performed poems, sang songs, and celebrated Scottish culture. We are now learning about the impact of tourism on Scotland and Europe as a whole.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve had an incredibly exciting term with two major outings:<\/p>\n We spent time at Dolphin House taking part in outdoor activities, team challenges, and confidence\u2011building experiences. It was a brilliant chance to work together and try new things.<\/p>\n We also visited the Science Centre, where we explored hands\u2011on exhibits, learned more about the world around us, and deepened our curiosity about science and technology.<\/p>\n P7’s also have a trip to Dumfries House next week as part of their transition to Girvan Academy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Welcome back to our P7\/6 blog!
