Research proves that reading for pleasure is central in supporting\u00a0<strong>equity<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>wellbeing<\/strong>, positively impacting learners&#8217;\u00a0<strong>attainment<\/strong>\u00a0across the curriculum,\u00a0<strong>critical thinking, creativity<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>empathy<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>resilience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We have a Readership Team, made up of staff and pupils, who are committed to delivering our action plan in order to gain this accreditation for Coylton.<\/p>\n<p>Our main aim is to create a culture of reading for pleasure in our school.
