We are the House Captains and these are our responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set a good example for younger pupils by modelling good behaviour, responsibility and working hard in class.<\/li>\n<li>Represent our school during special events and meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Work with other House Captains to plan fun and exciting house assemblies.<\/li>\n<li>Lead house assemblies each month. Our assemblies will focus on our school values, recent achievements, children\u2019s rights, inspirational stories and upcoming events.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage house spirit, teamwork and friendly competition.<\/li>\n<li>Motivate our peers by reminding them of the rewards and benefits of earning house points.<\/li>\n<li>Lead by example by joining in house activities and earning points whenever we can.<\/li>\n<li>Work with SLT to plan an exciting house treat in the event that our house is the winner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are excited to do our best and help make our house the best it can be!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>P1 Buddies Responsibilities\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Play with the P1 pupils, helping them have fun and make friends.<\/li>\n<li>Help the P1 teachers on Friday afternoons by giving extra help to P1 pupils, explaining tasks and guiding them through activities.<\/li>\n<li>Model good behaviour and encourage the P1 pupils to be ready, respectful and safe.<\/li>\n<li>Read stories to the P1 pupils, helping them discover new books and get excited about reading.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage P1 pupils to join in group activities and games, making sure everyone gets involved and is included.<\/li>\n<li>Listen to the P1 pupils if they have any worries and help them out when they need it.<\/li>\n<li>Help out in the lunch hall each day by pouring milk and water, cutting up food and making sure everyone has what they need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We love being P1 Buddies and helping the youngest pupils feel happy and safe at school!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Junior Sports Leaders Responsibilities\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organise and lead after-school clubs, creating a fun place for everyone to learn new skills and enjoy being active.<\/li>\n<li>Help out with sports events by working with Mrs. Edmiston to plan and run events, especially on Sports Day, where we support younger pupils during races and activities.<\/li>\n<li>Take care of the PE cupboard by keeping it clean and organised and making sure the equipment is always in good shape.<\/li>\n<li>Teach basic PE lessons to younger pupils, helping them learn new skills and get excited about physical activity.<\/li>\n<li>Show good sportsmanship, teamwork and a positive attitude in everything we do, so younger pupils have a great example to follow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We love being Junior Sports Leaders and making PE and sports fun for everyone!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Recognition Leaders Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use X to share the classes\u2019 learning progress and achievements.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and lead a weekly assembly where pupils get recognised for going over and above. We also share all the latest updates from the week.<\/li>\n<li>Collect Recognition Certificates from teachers and hand them out to pupils who have done a great job after the assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Take photos of pupils who have been recognised for their achievements and share these on X to celebrate their hard work.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure our school\u2019s social media is always positive and shows off all the amazing things happening at school.<\/li>\n<li>Work together to gather info and plan fun activities for the weekly updates and assembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We love being Recognition Leaders and celebrating all the great things happening at our school!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Primary 7 Leadership Roles 2025\/26 House Captains Responsibilities\u00a0 At Coylton, we have four Houses: Carebieston, Duchray, Hillhead and Martnaham.
