We all had a fantastic time learning and performing our Christmas Show ‘Hey Ewe’! Thank you everyone who came and saw us perform. We hope you enjoyed it!
We have made some New Year cards to send away to another school in another country as part of an etwinning project. We have copied Steven Brown art – a highland cow, giraffe and a lion.
We were talking about “do aliens exist?” and we were writing what we thought. We were to be different characters. You could be a scientist, UFO spotter or a spaceman.
We made Christmas cards to send away to other schools and important people to the school in our cluster. We created lots of Christmas designs with buttons.
On the 30th of November we celebrated St. Andrew’s Day; an iconic man to Scotland. We learned about his story and how he became the Patron Saint of Scotland. Here is a photo of the special day. Happy St. Andrew’s. We enjoyed some shortbread after talking about the disciples.
We have been learning about remainders. It was fun. We used Maths Express books. We did it with division. When we divide something we had a remainder, for example 24r1. I had to divide 24 with something and we had 1 left so that is our remainder.
We went to Troon for the Day of Dance. It was a long day but it was fun. We did dances such as the Gay Gordons, Flying Scotsman, Highland Welcome and the Britianna Two Step.
Dance club is now finished but it was really good fun. I think everyone who went really enjoyed all the dances we did. At the club we did street dances and also made up the dances for our school play ,Hey Ewe.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for £1 a strip a of Monday morning. Tickets will be kept in school and given to children on the night of the how before the draw.
