P1-3 learned how to say “Dè an t-ainm a th’ort?”which is Gaelic for What is your name?

This week in Colmonell  Primary we have been learning Gaelic. A  language used a long time ago. Today we learned colours. Here is a list of the colours in English and Gaelic –

blue is gorm

black is dubh

yellow is buidhe

purple is purpaidh

white is geal

pink is pinc

grey is glas

green is uaine

brown is donn

Miss Cameron and I are learning how to talk about how we are feeling and the days of the week in Gaelic, today.

We would like to challenge you to see if you can find a baby Newt. On Tuesday P1-3 went on an ACE day which was biking at Culzean and they also found a Newt in the forest.They found it in a tree.

P1-3 have been doing Tennis in PE. To warm up they have been doing superhero and toilet tig. In Tennis they had four different stations which were aiming at targets,throwing the ball and aiming for a big circular target and aiming at cones to hit them off the bench.
