I am Miss\u00a0Otterson<\/span>\u00a0and I will be teaching one of the Primary 7 classes this year (P7O). We are looking forward to sharing our exciting experiences and learning with you over the year before we move up to secondary school.<\/div>\n

This term, in Numeracy, we are focusing on place value, rounding and estimating and decimal numbers.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In Literacy, we are following ‘The Write Stuff’ programme which helps to develop our writing skills by improving our vocabulary and sentence structure among many other writing strategies. We will also be doing a Novel Study this term looking at the book ‘A Long Walk to Water’.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Over the course of the year, we will look at four different topics for our cross-curricular work. They are Africa, Charities, Castles and Enterprise. So far, we have looked into African art, tribes and safaris. Our current science topic is Electricity and during term 1 we are learning about Basketball and Gymnastics in PE.<\/div>\n
