The children receive comprehensive training to give them the skills and confidence to cycle on roads.<\/p>\n<p>There are three levels of training, and pupils are taught out on the roads for levels 2 and 3, to make sure they have the confidence to make independent journeys on their bikes. The scheme is run by Cycling Scotland. We usually\u00a0offer Level 1 in Primary 5 and Level 2 in Primary 6\/7.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row row-2\">\n<div class=\"t2col t2col-12 t2col-last t2nm \">\n<div class=\"t2col-0 t2c t2c-2\">\n<div class=\"t2cell i-inline i-inline t2cell-v0\">\n<p>This is a national initiative which promotes safe cycling and bicycle maintenance. Participants are assessed as they progress through the training and are awarded a badge and certificate on completion of the course.
