Trauma Informed Contact and Care (TICC) is a unique Police and Education early
\nintervention safeguarding partnership that supports children and young people exposed to
\ndomestic abuse.
\nBeing part of Trauma Informed Contact and Care means that schools will receive a
\nnotification from Police Scotland before the start of the next school day when a child or young
\nperson has been involved in or exposed to a domestic abuse incident in the previous 24 hours.
\nThe information is given in strict confidence to the school\u2019s designated contacts who will be
\nthe Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, Child Protection Co-ordinator or Named Person.
\nThis will enable support to be given dependent on the wellbeing needs and wishes of the child
\nor young person.
\nThe designated contacts have received additional information about Trauma Informed
\nContact and Care and the impact of Domestic Abuse on children and young people.
