Barassie Primary School Fundraising Group

The main role of Barassie Primary Fundraising Group (previously known as the PTA) is to fundraise through pupils, parents and social events to provide luxury items for pupils that cannot be funded by the school budget. Over the past few years the Fundraising Group have raised over £16000, which has been of great benefit to the school.

Equipment donated by the Fundraising Group has included; digital cameras, Coomber systems, interactive whiteboards and video cameras. In the past the Fundraising Group have also funded outings to the cinema and HMS Gannet and the cost of transport of this and other outings. In addition to this they have also contributed refreshments and prizes for Christmas parties and provided refreshments for Sports Days. Fundraising activities that the Fundraising Group have organised over the years include; Smartie tube donations, discos, sponsored keep-fit, balloon race, North Beach Challenge, Colouring competitions, Fun Days and ceilidhs.

Every parent is automatically a member of the Fundraising Group and is welcome to attend all meetings. The Fundraising Group are always looking for fresh ideas and would love to see new faces at the monthly meetings. If you are interested in finding out more please come along to one of our meetings.
