Primary 1/2 is a happy, fun, nurturing environment where children play and learn in lots of different ways.  We foster an open environment where children feel safe to express their feelings and ask questions.

Learning through play is an essential approach that allows young children to explore and engage with their environment in a meaningful way. By integrating play into the learning process, children develop critical skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity. Activities like role-playing, building with blocks, and interactive games not only make our learning enjoyable but also help reinforce concepts in subjects like math, literacy, and science. Through imaginative play, children can express their thoughts and feelings, while also enhancing their social skills by interacting with peers. This playful learning environment nurtures curiosity and fosters a love for learning, laying a solid foundation for their future educational journeys.

We love to learn indoors and outside whenever we have the chance. “At Forest Kindergarten we can make potions, climb trees and learn all about nature.”

Our children particularly enjoy the interactive ways we can learn about numbers. “I use the Numicon shapes to help me count and know my numbers.”
