<\/p>\nAt Alloway Primary School and Early Years Centre we continually strive to keep children safe and protected from harm.\u00a0 This is the responsibility of all.\u00a0 We\u00a0 recognise our legal and moral duty to promote the well-being of children, and protect them from harm.\u00a0 We believe that every child regardless of age has at all times and in all situations a right to feel safe and protected from any situation or practice that results in a child being physically or emotionally upset or damaged.<\/p>\n
In our School Mrs Fiona Meney (HT) is the Child Protection\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Co-ordinator and Mrs Lauren Miller (DHT) is the Depute Child Protection Co-ordinator.<\/p>\n

We have polices and procedures that we follow in order to keep all children safe.\u00a0 All school staff are trained in Child Protection and Safeguarding annually with further updates provided throughout the session.<\/p>\n

\nPromoting race equality and anti-racist education at Alloway Primary<\/a><\/p>\n
\nPrevent is a safety net against radicalisation.
\nIt aims to intervene early, to stop people from becoming
\nterrorists or supporting terrorism.
\nPrevent deals with all terrorist ideologies, from Islamist to
\nExtreme Right-Wing.
\nPrevent is delivered at a local level by experts who understand
\nthe risks in their communities. Partners include local authorities,
\npolice, education, healthcare and charities.
\nFor people who are susceptible to radicalisation, Prevent can
\nprovide personalised interventions to help them move away
\nfrom dangerous ideologies.<\/p>\n
