Dyslexia<\/strong>
\nDyslexia Scotland<\/a> is an excellent website for up-to-date information, advice and support.
\nDyslexia Scotland also have a dedicated website for children aged 8+ called Dyslexia Unwrapped<\/a><\/p>\n

Neurodiversity\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The University of Edinburgh has created information booklets for parents of children who they think may be neurodiverse or have been diagnosed with neurodiversity. \u00a0\u2018Neurodivergent\u2019 refers to a broad range of conditions including for example autism, ADHD, DCD\/Dyspraxia, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and those born prematurely (amongst other diagnosis).\u00a0 However, use of these booklets need not be restricted to those with a diagnoses.
\nThese booklets are relevant for those children who have thinking differences that arise for any reason.<\/p>\n

Please contact your child’s class teacher if you wish to discuss this further.\u00a0 Mrs Stewart or Mrs Meney (Pupil Support) can help also.<\/p>\n

It is open to anyone in Ayrshire who wants to contact\u00a0 about neurodevelopmental differences such as Autism, ADHD or FASD. You do not need a diagnosis to access our service.<\/p>\n
